Bernie Crosses the Delaware (Line)

Within the hour, Bernie crossed his eleventh and LAST state line of the American Discovery Trail - into Delaware! The Maryland/Delaware border is one of a few states on the ADT that doesn't greet you with a "Welcome!" sign.

Just a quick update for the Hiking America community.

Bernie Krausse just passed along two photos, and I wanted to share them with you quickly.

Within the hour, Bernie crossed his eleventh and LAST state line of the American Discovery Trail - into Delaware! The Maryland/Delaware border is one of a few states on the ADT that doesn't greet you with a "Welcome!" sign.  

Instead, it is identified by the road surface change — in this case, going from a dirt road to asphalt.

Only 44.18 miles to go to become the first Eastbound American Discovery Trail through-hiker of the year!
