The USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region ended the regional closure order affecting National Forests in California at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 15, two days before the original end date of Sept. 17.

The closure impacted four sections (California 7-9, Nevada 1) of the American Discovery Trail — The ADT Guide waypoints CA7-4 through NV1-32, a section that stretches from Foresthill, California, and the Western States Trail trailhead into Nevada and the point where the ADT leaves the Tahoe Rim Trail.

The Tahoe National Forest remains in FIRE RESTRICTIONS.
